Adopt-A-Family

UPDATE: All of our families have been adopted! Thanks to a generous donor, we will also be able to provide 2 families with pre-lit Christmas trees. If you would like to provide ornaments, ribbon, etc, we could use those decorative items as well. Email us at donations@cafjc.org to get involved!

 Still want to help? You can contribute by making a financial donation via the link below. Your donation will go towards year round Victim Services programming. This includes emergency relocation, transportation, essential needs items, ring cameras, etc. 

We have a huge need during the Christmas season, particularly with our clients being primarily women who are often over-burdened, financially, as they work towards freeing themselves from the cycle of violence. Your support makes a huge impact these families who are struggling.
  

How It Works

Complete the form by selecting the family/families you wish to gift with your generosity.

After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of submission with further details of the family/families you are gifting.

To protect client confidentiality, each survivor will be described as adult or child.

Please do not wrap any of your gifts. Instead, consider donating wrapping paper, tape, ribbon, and/or gift bags (all sizes) so that the parent may wrap their children’s gifts.

Place all unwrapped gifts in a large plastic bag and attach your confirmation form to the bag. We rely on this information to match the gift bags to the correct family. If you have large items that do not fit in a bag, please attach your confirmation to the item itself.

Gift drop-off will be on Wednesday, December 11, Thursday, December 12, and Friday, December 13 from 9am - 4pm at the Capital Area Family Justice Center, located at 1120 Government Street, Building C, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. If these dates do not work for your schedule, please contact us to schedule a convenient time for you.
